Allium ‘Pinball Wizard’ Bulb

Allium ‘Pinball Wizard’ is an impressive and bold ornamental onion known for its enormous, tightly packed spherical flower heads composed of star-shaped, rich lilac-purple florets. Flowering in early summer, the blooms can reach the size of a grapefruit and are held aloft on thick, upright stems that rise above low-growing, grey-green foliage. Its dramatic form and intense colouring make it a standout feature in borders, gravel gardens, or formal planting schemes. Thriving in full sun and free-draining soil, ‘Pinball Wizard’ performs reliably and is well-suited to sunny, sheltered spots where its tall stems are protected from strong winds. The blooms are not only eye-catching in the garden but also make excellent cut flowers, fresh or dried. Popular with bees and other pollinators, it contributes to garden biodiversity while delivering strong architectural interest. Low-maintenance and long-lasting, this allium brings striking structure and vivid colour to late spring and early summer displays.
