Francesco Buzzi Ceriani ‘Cuffia’ table lamp, aluminum, steel, chrome, Italy, design 1960s

The Cuffia table lamp, designed by Francesco Buzzi Ceriani in 1960s Italy, is a refined example of sculptural mid century design. Crafted in metal, it reflects the periods fascination with geometry, movement, and the balance between form and function. Its distinctive hemispherical shade, reminiscent of a protective cap, envelops a smaller inner dome that diffuses a warm, atmospheric glow. The layered construction creates a subtle play of light and shadow, emphasizing the lamps architectural character. Adjustable through discreet circular side knobs, the shade can be tilted with precision, combining practicality with a confident industrial aesthetic.
