Hippeastrum ‘Orange Sovereign’

Hippeastrum x hybridum

Showy orange trumpet-shaped flowers for up to 3 weeks at a time in Summer. Recipient of Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. Tolerant of tough conditions and easy to grow.

How To Grow
Prepare the soil by adding organic matter and compost. Plant in a moist well drained soil, protected from wind but with plenty of sunlight. Leave neck of bulb protruding above the soil and side water weekly during dry spells as Hippeastrums dont like overhead watering. Spray lightly with fungicide and protect from snails and slugs. For Christmas flowering, keep bulbs in the crisper section of your refrigerator until mid November.
