Perlage Chandelier – Matt Black with Smoky Glass

Description

The Perlage is a large chandelier built from twenty-five hand-blown Pyrex spheres held on a slim matt black metal frame. The glass is smoky rather than clear, so each sphere reads as a soft grey bead by day and warms to a low amber core once lit. It gives a scattered, decorative glow rather than a single flood of light, the kind of piece that anchors a room from above rather than working as a task light.

Every sphere carries its own G9 lamp, so the fitting spreads its light across a wide footprint of just over a metre. That makes it suited to a double-height stairwell, a large dining table or an open hallway where it can be seen from more than one level. Lit, the smoke-tinted glass keeps the source gentle and stops the twenty-five points reading as harsh; unlit, it hangs as a cluster of dark glass beads against the ceiling.
